Please Note Little League Rules Apply
Team eligibility:
1 -Teams must be from the town or district team they are signing up from.
2-Teams may combine towns as long as combining teams do not have a team playing in the SSA Tournament community division. If this is the case, you need to contact SSA for permission.
3-Teams combining from 3 or more towns will need to contact SSA for permission.
Divisions: 9U-10U-12U. Juniors 12-13-14U. Senior 15U-16U.
Games:
1-9U, 10u-12u: 6 Innings or 2hr time limit or 1:45 if there is a game
following. Must finish the Innning (equal at bats).
*Championship games will be 6 inning no time limited
2- Junior/ Senior 7 Innings or 2hr time limit or 1:45 if there is a game
following equal at bats.
3- 4 innings constitute a game.
4-Teams can field 10 players 10u and 12u, 4 outfielders (Managers Option). Teams need at least 8 players to start the game and may borrow outfielders if needed.
5-Universal batting order is in effect.
6-9U,10u: time is out when the ball is returned to the pitcher on the mound.
7- Dropped 3rd strike rule in effect 12u-14u only.
8-Infield fly rule in effect 12u-14u.
9-Speed up rule for the catcher, the last batted out will run.
10-Once a pitcher motions to pitch, all dugouts must be quiet.
11-Optional no slide: a play at the base requires one of the following:
A-To slide to the base.
B-Elect not to slide but must avoid contact.
C-Give yourself up or be called out.
Run rule:
9U, 10u-12u: 5 runs or 3 outs per inning. Last inning unlimited, both managers must declare the last inning if the game is shortened by time.
12 Runs after 4, equal at bats.
Junior/ Senior: 12 runs after 5, equal at bats.
Batting Order:
Universal Batting order applies, Players leaving the game due to injury or becomes ill or must leave the game site after the start of the game, the team will skip over the spot in the order without penalty.
If a team has twelve (12) or fewer eligible players in uniform at a game, all players will be listed in the lineup
If a team has thirteen (13) or more eligible players in uniform at a game, 12 Players will be in the lineup with extra players being used as subs, Reentry rule applies. Starting players once removed may return to the same spot in the lineup they occupied, the substitute once removed will remained removed.
Teams must have at least 8 players to start the game

Pitching:
10u-12u: each pitcher can pitch 3 innings per game, 1 pitch constitutes an inning.
Junior/ Senior: Each pitcher can pitch 4 innings per game, 1 pitch constitutes an inning.
Pitching distances:
9U, 10u: The pitching mound is 35 feet from the rear of home plate.
12u: The pitching mound is 40 feet from the rear of home plate.
Junior/ Senior The pitching mound is 43 feet from the rear of home plate
Base Stealing:
9U, 10u: stealing all bases, the runner can only advance after the ball passes home plate. One warning per team, then the runners will be called out.
9U, 10u-12u: No stealing home for the 5th run. Home must be earned either by a hit or walk.
12u- Junior/ Senior only: on release from the pitcher, a runner may advance to the next base, if
the runner leaves before the ball is released, the runner shall be called out and the play is dead
and the pitch does not count.
12u – Junior/ Senior only: ten (10) foot radius around the pitcher’s mound. Runners must
commit to either base when the ball enters the circle, or they will be called out. See below *
9U,10u-on a walk continuation to 2nd is allowed, Runner must commit to either base when the pitcher has the ball, or they will be called out. See below*
9U,10u NO STEALING HOME FROM 3rd BASE ON CONTINUATION PLAY
*With a Runner on 3rd, Batter walks, The Batter/Runner can continue to 2nd Base. If she stops near 1st she must immediately return to 1st. If she goes and stops, she is OUT. The runner at 3rd cannot score on this play.
Hit Batters:
A maximum of 3 hit batters per inning or 5 per game.
The pitcher must be removed. In any case the batter must make and attempt to avoid the pitch.
Umpires: Are to be respected at all times. If you have and issue, contact the league.
Rainouts: In the event of inclement weather, the home team Manager will decide and notify the opposing team Manager and the League to Cancel the umpire.
Game Cancellations: At least 24 hours before game, and the league must be notified ASAP.
Games being canceled on game days will result in a $60 Rescheduling fee or forfeit.
Games will not be rescheduled until fees are received.
Rescheduling games: Must be done between the two Managers, and the League must be notified.
Games being Canceled after July 14 must have a replacement date or will result in a forfeit. Summer Only.
Note: When canceling games and rescheduling, the following information must be emailed or called in to the league:
Game Number
Rescheduling Date, Time, and Field.
Lightning storms. If anyone sees lightning or hears thunder, adults must immediately clear the field of all players until the lightning storm passes. Players should remain in the dugout or preferably inside the clubhouse if one is available. Coaches and umpires have the option of either continuing the game if lightning is not seen for 30 minutes — or canceling the game.
All Scores should be emailed ASAP following the game to keep up with the standing.
In the event of a tie in the standings, head-to-head games will be used, if this does not work, Occupation will be used to determine place.
